I have officially moved to Hawai’i and settled into my course of Post-Baccalaureate study in furniture design before pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree. I’m starting with a course in metal fabrication to expand my skill base, and look forward to making some innovative metal furniture pieces during the semester. You can still contact me at the same number and email address, and as always, visitors are always welcome!

My senior show, WoodWorks, turned out to be a great success. Thanks to all those who helped me in its realization! My work is now featured at Gallery 17 Peck on Atwells Avenue in Providence, RI, an exciting step in my career as an artist. Take a look!

Work on my senior show continues as the semester moves on. I have yet to establish a theme or title, beyond a collection of my body of sculptural furniture pieces.  I think it might be interesting to focus on “Shapes” as the uniting idea, and then perhaps include some of my shape-based drawings in the show. We’ll see! (suggestions welcome!)

I have just returned from a successful trip back to Honolulu, Hawai’i, where I visited the University of Hawai’i furniture department to talk about jobs, graduate school, and furniture! It was great to see my teacher, Dave Landry, and the outlook is good for getting involved in the O’ahu design scene come summer!

Huzzah! One of my drawings was selected to be in the Brown University Contrariwise “Nonsense” Juried show, juried by the Curator of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art! Check it out in the drawing gallery! (Deconstruct/Reconstruct, Evolutions)
